AbstractThe multitemporal characteristic of the satellite images is fundamental in monitoring the land use and/or land cover changes. In the treatment of multitemporal data it is necessary to minimize the atmospheric effects that damage the quality of the images. Within this context, the objective of this work is to analyze which the most appropriate approach that preserve the spectral characteristics of the objects in the temporal series of ETM+ images. Then, methodology using of atmospheric correction, followed of radiometric normalization was analyzed. So that, is necessary atmosphere correct of only one of the images or the entire multitemporal series?.
